Role description

​We are seeking a volunteer to support with our Social Media and Digital Marketing. Ideally you will be familiar with social media platforms, blogging, PR, Google analytics and contributing to content creation. If you have creative flair and understand how engaging multimedia content can be used in marketing, then this role may be for you.

The role needs to provide a strong focus on community engagement across Talk Mental Health's social media channels. You’ll be making a real difference too. We're looking for a someone passionate about their local community and supporting those experiencing poor mental health or crisis.

As a Social Media and Digital Marketing Volunteer, you will:

  • Assist in creating content including video, images, gifs and copy across our channels

  • Act as brand guardian, learning and building on our tone of voice.

  • Integrate across our services to deliver content that will support different strategic objectives

  • Control our response to users of our services, on-line requests for help and our on-line booking systems.

This is a voluntary role. Talk Mental health will provide induction training including an overview of our work, our policies and procedures and awareness of common mental health conditions.

​This is an opportunity to make a real difference to a small community group that has a significant positive impact to the wellbeing of individuals experiencing mental health issues. You will have the satisfaction of being able to see how your skills have enabled Talk Mental Health to have a much larger reach to those in need. You may be looking to gain more experience so you can progress your career or wanting to give something back to your community.

Commitment

  • We estimate the amount of time will be 5-7 hours per week

  • We are initially looking for a commitment of 12 weeks

Role description

​​We are seeking a volunteer to look after our finances. We are looking for this person to be our finance lead. The volunteer, should he or she be willing, would also be in a position to be an integral part of the running of the Community Interest Company (CIC) and its projects and initiatives. ​You’ll be making a real difference too. We're looking for a someone passionate about their local community and supporting those experiencing poor mental health or crisis.

As our Treasurer and Bookkeeper, you will be:

  • ​​Looking after our bookkeeping needs.

  • Manage our finance policies and procedures. Including authority to spend (sign-off) processes.

  • Preparing budgets and monitoring expenditure through regular management accounts

  • Support our Operations and Project teams with budgeting and finance control.

  • Monitor Grants received (including restricted funds)

  • Prepare our annual accounts

  • We estimate the amount of time will be 5-7 hours per week

  • We are initially looking for a commitment of 12 weeks

What are we looking for: 

  • ​Finance Bookkeeping (as a minimum)

  • Finance Accountancy (ideal)

  • Information Technology - experience of popular small business accounting tools such as Xero or Quickbooks.
